2008/2009 is going to be Beacon's
best year ever! The school's charter was renewed by RIDE in
August, our PBGR system is Regents approved, in 2008 and 2009
US News and World Report listed us as one of the best high
schools in the USA! Plus, our new fourth floor computer facilities
are up and running. All the full time teachers from 2007/2008
returned this year and we've added five new faculty and staff.
Even though enrollment
is at an all time high, we're still taking applications. The
applications for enrollment are available in the Apply
section of this site. Links to all teacher e-mail addresses
are available in the Faculty
Contact section in order for
parents to achieve easier communication with their child's
teachers.
Fusing Art and Career/Tech Education
The Beacon Charter School offers a unique
and exciting education concept by combining the arts and business
into a secondary-level career and technical curriculum that
is like no other in the state.
